Clinical Nurse Trainer

Location: South West England
Salary: Competitive + Benefits
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Due to continued growth of the service, we are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Patient Solutions team as a Clinical Nurse Trainer.

This is a field-based role supporting patients, carers, and healthcare professionals across the South West of England. You’ll deliver clinical education, support competency development, and provide hands-on patient support in both face-to-face and virtual settings.

Please note:

This role requires regular travel across the South West, including occasional overnight stays. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver clinical training and education to healthcare professionals and clinical teams
  • Support patients, carers, and families with homecare education and ongoing clinical support
  • Develop and maintain evidence-based training materials and documentation
  • Monitor clinical competencies and support safe clinical practice
  • Complete accurate reporting, documentation, and KPI activity tracking
  • Support audits, service reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with all clinical, regulatory, and safeguarding standards
  • Escalate clinical concerns and adverse events appropriately

Requirements

Essential

  • Current NMC registration
  • Minimum 2 years post-registration experience
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
  • Confident using digital systems and virtual platforms

Desirable

  • Experience in CVAD or Parenteral Nutrition
  • Clinical training, coaching, or mentoring experience
  • Teaching qualification such as AET or Train the Trainer
  • Community or homecare experience
